The National Logistics Strategy for Mozambique was committed to a consortium coordinated by IdeaConsult and involving TRT and EEPLAN (a company located in Mozambique).
The main objectives of the assignment are:
- diagnose the current realities supported by an in-depth analysis of baseline information on current situation;
- project strategy, logistics and transport actions necessary for the short, medium and long term, which promote growth of the country and has a role sustained and relevant in the new regional and global multimodal transport and logistics schemes; – prepare strategic guidelines for logistics and transport actions necessary for the short, medium and long terms in view of promoting national growth and improve the situation of Mozambique in the new regional and global multi transport and logistic schemes.
The assignment will be carried out in four stages according to the following:
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Activities and Context of the Plan
- Stage 2 – Diagnosis of the Transportation System and the Logistics Sector of Mozambique
- Stage 3 – Development Opportunities and Plan Approach
- Stage 4 – Proposal of Actions and Roadmap for the Development of Logistics
