Transport and cost-benefit analysis for the feasibility study of the adjustment of the A24 and A25 motorways in Italy
The study included the following activities:
- transport analysis of A24 and A25 motorways through the use of the AIMSUN simulation model to evaluate the impacts resulting from the implementation of some route alternatives;
- accessibility analysis in the current conditions, in the project scenario and in relation to the construction phases with particular regard to safety conditions;
- cost-benefit analysis of alternative scenarios of the planned interventions for the two highways, combined with the risk analysis of some variables such as growth in traffic demand over time.
