TRT Academy - Professional training on cyclelogistics

TRT Academy – Professional training on cyclelogistics

TRT Academy is born from the collaboration between TRT and EIT Urban Mobility. The Academy offers advanced training programs addressed to mobility and transport professionals to explore the specific issues required by the constant change of urban centres and related trips. In particular operators of the public and private sphere who intend to thrive the transition towards an increasingly sustainable mobility, understanding the economic, environmental and social aspects that this implies. The trainings combine theoretical learning, field visits and hands-on labs. The interdisciplinary group formed by TRT professionals offers the opportunity to comprehend processes and to strength skills through the application of practical cases and the meeting of guests from the sector also expanding the relationship and knowledge network.

The first TRT Academy course was held in Milan on November 2022. In its first edition the training dealt with «cyclelogistics and cargo bikes» attracting the interest and participation of over 20 professionals from logistics companies, municipalities, service companies and transport agencies.

The course intends to respond to the growing demand for sustainable and efficient solutions for last mile logistics. The topics addressed concern the political and technical criticalities of such “unusual process” as well as the technical knowledge and mistrust that limit the solution. Through an interdisciplinary and innovative approach, the training offered to the various professionals of the supply chain the opportunity to discuss and identify elements for developing a shared public-private strategy. After the success of the first edition, the course was re-proposed, with specific focus on the most topical and interesting themes, also in 2023.
