Within this project, TRT Trasporti e Territorio\u00a0 has been appointed by the Central Adriatic Ports Authority to conduct an <strong>analysis of accessibility optimization for people with reduced mobility (PRMs)<\/strong> in the ports of Ancona and Pesaro. The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of accessible infrastructure and services and to identify possible improvements to the available services for passengers with <strong>physical, sensory (hearing and visual impairments), and mental-learning disabilities<\/strong> in the ports of Ancona and Pesaro, in accordance with the legislative framework..<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9899 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.trt.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/INTERREG_MIMOSA_2-1024x421.png\" alt=\"INTERREG_MIMOSA_2\" width=\"960\" height=\"395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.trt.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/INTERREG_MIMOSA_2-1024x421.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.trt.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/INTERREG_MIMOSA_2-300x123.png 300w, https:\/\/www.trt.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/INTERREG_MIMOSA_2-768x316.png 768w, https:\/\/www.trt.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/INTERREG_MIMOSA_2-260x107.png 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 480px, (max-width:960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In order to carry out the study, several activities have been undertaken, including <strong>fieldwork and mapping activities<\/strong> which allowed to map and verify the current status of accessible mobility infrastructures and services for passengers with disabilities in the ports of Ancona and Pesaro.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, a <strong>participatory process<\/strong> was conducted based on <strong>individual interviews<\/strong> and <strong>final plenary meetings<\/strong> with local stakeholders, such as institutional bodies, maritime and local public transport operators, and associations of PRMs. The preliminary results that emerged from the fieldwork and the participatory process activities allowed to perform a <strong>SWOT analysis<\/strong>, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Then, the study has collected a series of <strong>national and international best practices<\/strong> to further identify possible improvements to the infrastructures and services currently offered to PRMs in the ports.
